It only took politicians 4terms to become wealthy, which they created nor built anything to become rich.

2nd to last one about losing life skills is kind of off. 2 generations to lose those skills for americans. The rest of the world is still doing the same shit theyve been doing for a long time. If you quit feeding impoverished nations a whole lot more people would be re- developing those skills in a hurry. The western mind infected with consumerism is a virus variant from hosting a parasitic Kabbalist infection.

That last one. And C.S. Lewis.

Fierce stack of memes today! I love your collections, thanks for letting us laugh along with you💛

Pizza Hut used to rock! They sponsored a reading program for elementary kids, and my son won lots of pizzas for reading so we ate there often. It was so good., and how it is so bad, not even a remote ghost of its heyday in the 1980s.

The one with the quote from George Orwell is mis attributed. It’s actually from the play by David Icke.

In 1984, people looked up at the screen, or across the room at it. So they would not be looking up from it as in the quote.

Has anyone besides me noticed that the memes, while still using irony and sarcasm, are becoming less funny?

I find many funny ones…..and I like ones that make me THINK!

Sheila Nawrot's avatar

Absolutely. I think most memes are intended to make us think. I suppose I worded it poorly. They are still mostly all funny. What I meant, I think, was that lately the truth emphasized in the meme is heavier than the tickle to the funny bone.

At times, yes…the humor has definitely waned a little bit.

Went to a talk held by Chief Dan George 15 to 20 years ago in Humboldt County, California. I had gotten up to go to the restroom and he called me out in front of the audience, “Oh, look, another white man who doesn't know where he's supposed to be.”

I’ve worked for native people since 79’.

The only thing I've ever been asked specifically as a non Tribal member is that I have a little acknowledgment of what happened in this country for the last 400 years.

The truth can hurt….the Chief’s wisdom sounds oddly like a description of today’s “Karens”! I worked at Pizza Hut in the late 80’s in Chandler AZ!, fun times for sure! Looks like, finally, things are a changin for the better!!! Trump n RFK Jr 🇺🇸

I have a shirt with that particular C.S Lewis quote. And the stating your opinion meme reminds me of an article by J. Warner Wallace about it’s better to be respected than loved…or maybe liked….
