“Truth resides in every human heart, and one has to search for it there, and to be guided by truth as one sees it. But no one has a right to coerce others to act according to his own view of truth.”
We actually did the Christmas card thing with our 2 youngest kids, toddlers at the time when we took protective custody. They literally landed in our laps with very little warning. Long sad story there. And oh boy did that get our relatives attention.
My 96 Tacoma leaks a little oil, but I figure it has more miles left in it than I do.
The dash says 273,000, which is middle aged for that model.
Main thing is, the truck has to work for me, not the other way ‘round.
Want to know how not to waste your family’s future on things that turn to trash with time and use? Think of your vehicle as a dry box that goes where you point it until you turn it off. Then apply that lesson to every thing you own, because things don’t count. It’s how you use and steward what’s trusted to you that matters. Especially the money you earn with the hours, days, and years of your life, my friend.
Truth is absolute. What is "right" is in alignment with it or it isn't right or true. The further away from truth "right" gets its rightness decreases exponentially. However, being as it is "absolute", means it is unknowable. Therefore, the only reliable way to evaluate rightness is to judge it according to its implications and results. Judge a tree by its fruit. Judge a person by their actions.
Whatever you DoG you do it perfectly. I’m not a particularly religious guy but me and you is kindred spirits brother. Told you before if I ever find a job that I will sub and I mean it. Until then you continue to always brighten my day sir. ❤️
I find it hilarious when I see people driving those monster-sized trucks or 4WD’s who can barely see over the dashboard. Picture a mouse driving a Sherman Tank & you’ll see what I’m getting at 🤭🤭🤭.
I can definitely believe the one about the “long lasting truck vs electric vehicle” as a lot of motoring enthusiasts will have an old car that they work on diligently for years & keep it in perfect working order (a labour of love if you will), rather than buying a new “gas guzzler” every 3 years or so 👍😁🛻🚗
Except if you live in Vermont where brine is used all winter on the roads, rusts the car and then won't pass inspection! It's a racket! I'm sure the state has a deal going with the car dealerships🤬
lol I used to have one of those bad boys. It’s really not worth it imho 🤣….always fixing something. Hey if you are good with that you do you. I’m not tho lol
I’ve often found in life that the older cars I’ve had have lasted longer & been more reliable than the “flashy, newer” models. Sure, the parts have been cheaper for the older cars, but their reliability always makes for a better ride. But, that’s just been my experience ✋😁🤚
Idk about that sir, I have owned several 80’s vehicles and they both sucked lol. That being said I was literally hell on wheels to them both. Went Ford Ranger and jacked it up on a homemade lift. That thing was a moving time bomb lolol.
Then I got a 5.0 and decided to become a drag racer instead of mud pit king.
Good times but I don’t miss them when it comes to getting my ass to the grocery store. 😆
That’s cool… We all have our own tastes but no matter what the vehicle is, as long as it gets you from “point A to point B & back again”, that’s all that matters 👍😉
Was just telling DoG been outta work for almost a year. Been living off savings. Yeah I turned some down too. Been holding out a bit.
Gotta 2011 Avalon and it’s paid off. Fucking great car. Got 10k on the oil change and I should probably do something about that. But other than that I ain’t gotta do anything to it.

Happy (not Christmas yet)
Thanksgiving. My favorite holiday 🦃🍁
My daughter and I constantly talk about people who "don't get it." Now I know why😉
For those people it’s best that they don’t. They never will get it so why waste our time.
Life is a test to see which people choose good and which choose good. Many choose evil. Most don't realize it's a test.
The extra kid joke is the best.
All driving an older car or means is that the owner is an expert mechanic, or filthy rich. 96 f350 and a 2005 bmw 6. And I ain’t filthy rich.
‘77 F250 ‘high boy’ 4×4 460 engine. It’s my ‘tractor’.
And I ain’t rich.
Gotta be earler than 1980, that’s when they started putting chips in.

Ah but the 1978 pumpkin orange Mercedes Benz 300SDL … lasted well over 200k miles
