Finally found your post on pickax! A while ago I wrote on another Stack about my old household book back in the former country. Food, clothing, home, hygiene and health, hobbies, other. When we have the first 3 and a little bit of 4, we should be fine. But, as I just discussed with dad, young folks nowadays want a whole lot more. 2 or more cars, exquisite clothing, leather hand bags, brand names, going out to eat 2 or 3 times a day, a long vacation preferably to some exotic country, several small trips... sigh. I am so glad to sit here outside on the porch of my cabin in the woods, in my old jeans and a T, with my dog snoring at my feet and the cats boiling in the sunshine... who needs more?
If at first...caused me to smile because I strive to put God first everyday. I am most successful when do as God instructs. I am grateful for what God has provided, and the people He uses to provide.
Forever I will give thanks to God for everything. It’s been a bumpy road to where I’m at but at the end of the day I am eternally grateful because I stop amongst the daily challenges and realize all the tiny miracles that happen in the midst of it all. When you lay down at night to sleep thank God for another day. Because it’s not promised.
