Gotta say, DoG Pound, all of the great men you quote here…Voddie Baucham, John MacArthur, Charles Spurgeon, are ALL espousers of the Biblical view on Israel characterized in Jeremiah 31 and Romans 11. So your memes during the week are full of hatred for the Jewish people and the nation of Israel, but your once a week posts are full of love for Christ (a Jew, Matt. 1) and hope for the future. So, which is it? Can’t be both.

feel free to share one meme I’ve posted hating jews.

I’ll wait.

In the meantime, shut up and stop lying.

Love Voddie Baucham. Gone too soon. He says this that fits perfectly with your post of Sunday memes today.

“The Apostle Paul’s warning to the Colossians is greatly needed today: “

“See to it that know one takes you captive by philosophy and

empty deceit according to human tradition, according to elemental spirits of the world, not according to Christ”

Colossians 2:8.

“For the glory of God among his church and throughout society.”

He lists these affirmations and denials:

-Scripture

-Imago Dei (affirming we were all created equal in his image) and denying socioeconomic status, ethnicity, religion , sex, physical condition ect, as “it does not contribute to a persons worth as an image bearer of God”

-Justice

God’s Law

-Sin

-Gospel

-Salvation

-The Church

-Heresy

-Sexuality & Marriage

-Race/Ethnicity

-Culture

-Racism

Great book. Highly recommend this book given the times we’ve seen in recent years.

Hope the weekend has been good to you.

Thanks Duke❤️✝️🙏🏻

Yeeeah that meme one hit a little harsh! I’ve gotten much better on what I share and or store on my phone by the way of memes. It’s that dark and dank comical side of my personality that gets me in trouble. Always has.😂 I’m a work in progress after all. Hey… I’m work’n here …Chill out! I’m a conceptual piece, possibly a little abstract but one of a kind!

When I posted the Orange meme it’s since became the most viral thing I ever posted.

Seconded by Marie Kondo.

I have one in my pile that is a tree next to an X-ray of human lungs. Similar message. God’s plan for the world and all things in it is perfect. He gave us everything we need.❤️

God is a forgiving God with a sense of humor. I’m positive he laughs along with us while reading Dog’s memes. Aloha Sunday and God Bless us all 🙏🏻🇺🇸♥️

He does have a sense of humor. I see it every day. It's hard to explain. But, when you see it, you know it

I’m not the brightest bulb in the chandelier so I will need someone to explain that last one to me. Memes are meant to be taken and shared so it’s not like you are stealing them. I can’t remember ever seeing a pornographic meme or one that promoted evil, and even if I had, it wouldn’t be on my phone. there can only be several answers. The one I like best is they must be Sunday morning memes from Truth Bomb Central teaching something you’re not doing.

DoG's avatar

Same - don’t overthink it Buddy. I think some people may have some sinful meme’s, but not me. Or at least I sure hope not!

I do push the boundaries sometimes. Lord knows, I filter out all the questionable memes out - and I do it all for y’all.

My Ladies & Guns, for example. You should see some I’m forced to see to find the ones that I actually post. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it. :)

God bless, make it a great Sunday!

Buddy Brown's avatar

I enjoy the ladies and guns memes, and I don’t remember any that were beyond what you would see at any beach. some of the poses are a bit questionable, so I increase the scrolling speed and try not to stare. Ha ha ha.

I recently did a deep dive on the proper interpretation on ‘lust’ as per the Biblical stance, and I left with a changed opinion.

Somebody, please correct me if this is wrong - but it seems like all verses but one use the correct definition of the Hebrew/Greek words for ‘woman’. Then there’s the one that is seemingly wrong, it uses a different translation and makes a huge difference. That one uses the word meaning ‘women’ in general, all the others properly used the word for ‘wife’. HUGE difference.

I don’t have the versus at the tip of my tongue now, and I’d have to make a multi-page post on the topic, but suffice it to say, as men, when we look upon a beautiful creature that God made and that feeling that washes over us, call it whatever you will, is 100% normal/natural and w/o that feeling, would men even WANT a woman? Seriously.

To sin, would be to covet - which means, take ACTION, to try and take/have for yourself. Taking action. Like, planning to kill her husband so you can have her. Like, planning to sneak around and have another mans wife for yourself. It, IMHO, does NOT mean, we lay eyes upon a beautiful lady and we’re supposed to believe we are sinning when that feeling comes over us.

Is it possible that one verse that mis-translates, does so to make men feel it is impossibly hard to be a good Christian man?

Buddy Brown's avatar

That is a subject that I have spent much time in prayer and meditation thinking about, since my wife died in 2010. I think we can agree that when you’re married, and you look at another woman and desire to get to know her or spend time with her, would absolutely be lustful, and anything beyond that might be considered adulterous. But as you said, if you are not married, or if your spouse has died you are free from those vows, and no longer would desiring to get to know a woman be considered sinful. And neither would thinking about wanting her to be the mother of your children. In my opinion, it’s just part of a natural process that’s built into the system to select a mate. It’s also my opinion that getting married, where there is no sexual attraction for the other person is a huge mistake. Marriage was meant to be a lifelong commitment, with the intent of propagating and continuing life. even if you’re older, and Beyond the age I believe the chemistry is still there.
