And Bezos Zuck and Elon cannot solve corruption. As far as giving all their ‘money’ to solve the problems they don’t have cash. They have overvalued shares. Vastly vastly overvalued. If Bezos said ‘I am going to build homes for the homeless with all my wealth’ and put all his shares of Amazon up for sale the value of his $200B in shares would drop to about $20B. Assume on average a good sized apartment building costs $100M he could build 200 buildings. And house about 35,000-40,000 people. Same with Elon. Less for Zuck. You couldn’t even remotely solve homeless with all the cash they could raise. Maybe at most you could house 100,000 people.
However, end the bureaucratic logjam everywhere and most of the housing shortage would be gone instantly.
Stop sending $100B to war zones and spend that on housing and between that and freeing up zoning and regulation housing is not a problem.
