I used to smoke in stores, on airplanes, and all the restaurants had an ash tray on every table. Before the crybabies came to power.
And in 1959 the school bus driver smoked behind the wheel too
I forgot about the Ben Franklin store!
Good stuff. Ben Franklin (and others like it), the “greasy spoon” with the cheap priced food (always includes chili), and - wow - people actually acting civil with each other. Long long gone but certainly never forgotten.

It is said a horse won't drink bad water, so if a horse drinks it, it's safe.
I would suppose the horse would’ve paid better attention than the soldier anyway. Mr. Ed would know if there was anyone around.
