Is the Kathrine Ross below K mart?

Yeah, I very much enjoy these flashbacks. However, I could be wrong, but I bet these people. of these bygone eras were probably more ignorant about the real workings of the world than we slaves are this day. Ignorance is bliss, yes? Did it matter? Maybe that the overlords were not so overt in their attack on humanity back then. Sigh.

I’m surprised how much leg and boobs are showing in the top black-and-white photo as a regular advertisement in the 50s or whatever

No wonder why we have such perversion now. They started with that stuff right away on TV

I sure remember how we carried our books in our arms in high school, and these girls are all doing it the "cool" way (except the one at far left). The uncoolest way was to have the stack in the crook of one arm and over on your hip, but at least you had one arm free! Seems so precarious now, so easy for the whole pile to slide off. And both hands needed to keep them in place! Backpacks are so much better.

Cub fans have graduated from the trees to overpriced rooftops !!!

S&H green stamps - damn, mom is talking to me !!! Kmart (RIP - thanks Sears !) pre-Tech fun.

Where has it all gone ?

S&H stamps were like gift cards. A book of stamps was a great wedding present. I remember finding a drawer full of stamps at a Great Aunts’s house. A cousin and I spent a whole day filling the little stamp books.

I have my Mom's Avocado Green Kitchen Aid mixer from 1972. Still works great.

States & utilities ( electric) joined together to remove old appliances with credits towards purchasing a new model. Electric cord had to be cut off to seal the deal.
