US gun fetishism is so weird to me. I don't understand why more people who fantasize obsessively about guns don't join the army or the police. Oh that's right, because it's just a 10 year old boy fantasy, like people who lie awake at night hoping they might one day get the opportunity to maim some intruder trying to steal someone's purse for drugs.
I guess I was unnecessarily provocative. I guess I just don't understand - I get that people use and have an interest in guns, that's fine. I just don't get the memes and the fantasies about the govt coming to take our guns stuff. It doesn't really connect with any realistic scenario. The occasional homesteader puts his money where his mouth is but then we just learn who has the monopoly on violence in reality.
Also it might be past the point of no return but why are people proud of living in open carry places -- most people around the developed world don't need to carry guns in daily life. Sure they wouldn't go to certain areas at night but they truly have no need of weapons. Wouldn't it be better to live i a place where you don't need guns?

I did some research and found the ar10 is a smaller pattern, on the ar15 idea. The at 308 is dpms, more like a battle rifle. A few parts interchange,most do not.
I have a .22 revolver and Altoid’s cans. 105 .22 LR rounds per can still leaves my purse a relatively small size. I bet I can fit the same number of snakeshot rounds in the tin. Thanks for the new ammo transport and storage method. For some odd reason, I find the idea of storing ammo in peppermint tins rather charming.
Personally, in the opening days of Armageddon, I plan on using my .22 to conserve the bigger rounds for later. Srsly, who’s going to take on a crazy guy with a .22? Plus it will give them the illusion I’m weak, so when they come back later, I’ll have the element of surprise. hehehe

Being that I’m among friends is there any difference between an ar10 build and an ar308? I see both terms.
I would imagine the only purpose is to describe AR-10 pattern rifles in calibers other than .308. 6.5 CM, 7-08 and the like.

The FCG's do. I know an AR-10 bolt fits an AR-15 BCG because that is a popular choice for 7.62x39 and 6.5 Grendel builds.

Definitely use the rimfire where it can work. Most .22lr carbines are better stand-off weapons than a shotgun IMO
